Founder, Director and Head Teacher of Midcoast Montessori School in Bath, Maine from 1999 to 2007.

Education and Certification-

• Ed.D. candidate. Accepted into the doctoral program at Plymouth State University and Argosy College.
• M.A. in Education & School Administration, Oral Roberts Univ., Tulsa, OK, 1996.
• B.F.A. (minor in Literature), magna cum laude, Colby-Sawyer College, New London, N.H., 1984. Class Salutatorian. Only two-time recipient in school history of the Edith B. Long Art scholarship.
• Montessori Teacher Certification: Primary ( Birth - 6 yrs.), and Elementary ( 6 - 12 yrs.), American Montessori Society and Saint Nicholas of London, England.

Michelle Dulany is the founder, Director and Head Teacher of West Orange Montessori School. Her credentials include a Master of Arts in Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. An experienced school administrator and teacher, she served as owner, director, and head teacher of Midcoast Montessori School from 1999-2007, and taught at the preschool, elementary and middle school levels. Michelle received Montessori Teacher Training and Certification for Primary (3-6 yr), and Elementary (6-12 yr), through the American Montessori Society.



Kenneth Spidle
Founder, Teacher

Academic Credentials: Bachelor of Science, University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Ken has been teaching in our (3-6) classroom for 8 years. Ken has Montessori Primary (3-6) certification and has completed his training for Montessori Elementary Teacher Certification* through the American Montessori Association.

In addition to teaching in both the Primary and Elementary classrooms at Midcoast Montessori from 2000- 2007, Ken has also been the Finance Director at Midcoast Montessori. He will enjoy continuing both to teach in our Primary classroom, as well as keep the books for West Orange Montessori School.
